Dear wonderful Svhachter family. I have known you for 45 years. Ellen is my best friend. I have a lot of fond childhood memories of your family at the lake house Particularly one in which one where Charlie saved his baby sister and nutty me who drifted way passed the safety zone on our rafts. While it has been many years since I’ve seen Charlie that will always be one of my favorite childhood memories. I love you all. My deepest condolences. May his memory be a bleeding. Amy

I will really miss Charlie. He was always so professional. I appreciated his ability to make those of us who are not attorneys understand what needed to be done and why. He was unfailingly kind and patient, even when we asked for the impossible.

Joyce and Family:
I have been a work colleague of Charlie's for the last 24+ years and I am deeply saddened by this terrible news. Charlie was a very bright man and contributed very significantly to the financing of many hospital and college projects across the state of New York. Charlie was a very well respected counsel and more importantly, a friend to all who had the opportunity to work with him. He will be deeply missed for his knowledge and friendship by all of these colleagues.
Peace be with you!
