Obituary of Elaine G. Lasser
July 24, 2019 at age 82. Predeceased by sister, Reva Mironov. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Michael; children, Carol (Robert) Wood & Robert (Daranee) Lasser; granddaughter, Alison Wood; nieces, nephews, adopted grandchildren, and a community of friends.
Elaine taught for 29 years in the Rochester City School District, where nothing gave her greater satisfaction and pleasure than watching children learn to read by the end of first grade. She was a superb knitter for family members and newborn babies, and rooted passionately for the New York Mets, no matter how lousy they were. She also loved the arts and literature, and was especially fond of the novels of Wallace Stegner and, her favorite, Willa Cather’s My Antonia.
Graveside Services will be held on SUNDAY, July 28, 2019 at 10 AM at White Haven Memorial Park. Friends are asked to gather at the main gate. Click here for directions to the cemetery.
