Obituary of Adele G. Erenstone
Passed away peacefully on January 16, 2019 at Kendal of Ithaca at the age of 94. Formerly of Rochester NY, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Morton. She is survived by her sister Marcia Wasserman of Boston; son Dr. Richard Erenstone (Denise) of Lake Placid, NY; daughter Anne Karpinski (William) of Fairport, NY; grandchildren, Jeffrey Erenstone and Brook Phillips; great grandchildren Tyler, Holly and Canyon.
Adele was very active in the Theatre Arts community in Rochester and worked for many years as an administrator at Nazareth College Arts Center. She was known for her boundless energy and spirit of adventure. With husband Mort, they were avid sailors and members of Sodus Bay Yacht Club. Together they biked and skied and traveled, spending many winters on Sanibel Island and on the Caribbean island of Montserrat. Wherever they went they established a circle of friends and many close and long lasting friendships. She had a full and an extraordinarily good life.
The family would especially like to thank Doug Miller, her caregiver at Kendal for the past three years. His care made the end of her life as amazing as the rest of it.
