Obituary of Esther Rebecca Solomon
On November 29, 2011 at age 105. Predeceased by her husband, Rabbi Aaron Solomon; son, David Solomon; daughter, Judith Solomon Kravetz; siblings, Sarah Budgar, Pearl Robinson, Sidney Solomon; grandson, Michael Cowen; great grandson, Justin Fleisher. Survived by her sons, Rabbi Josef G. Solomon , Dr. Jonathan G Solomon; daughter, Mrs. Naomi Anne Cowen, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Solomon suggested the Hattie Harris Scholarship and Hillel School honoring Rabbi & Mrs. Henry Hyman. She was a secretary of Mother's Club, Jewish Children's Home, president Senior Ladies Mizrachi, honorary president Miriam Chapter, National Board AMIT, president Jewish Women's Auxiliary, David J. Kaufman Post #41, president Sisterhood Beth Hemedresh Beth Israel, honorary life member Beth Hamedresh Beth Israel, and member of Hadassah, Council of Jewish Women, Hillel School, Jewish Home, Talmudic Institute. She contributed to organizations in Rochester and Israel.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the Staff at the Jewish Home for their care. Also, a special recognition to the Rochester granddaughters, Nancy Darling and Jayne Miller for their love and devotion.
Friends can visit TODAY (12/1/11) at 1:00 PM at Brighton Memorial Chapel (3325 Winton Rd So). Funeral services will follow in the Brighton Chapel at 1:30 PM. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
The family will receive friends on THURSDAY, December 1, 2011 beginning at 1 PM at Brighton Memorial Chapel (3325 Winton Road South). Funeral services will follow in the Chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 PM.

The family will receive friends at the Jewish Home of Rochester on THURSDAY (12/1/11) from 4:00 -7:00 PM and FRIDAY (12/2/11) from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
