Obituary of Ruth Lempert

Ruth Lempert Passed away on October 1, 2011 at age 81. Predeceased by her beloved daughter, Judith Ann Zaretsky; parents, Sam & Kate Schafer; and sister, Esther Usdane. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Daniel; son, David (Rochelle) Lempert; son-in-law, Mark Zaretsky; grandchildren, Michael & Samuel Lempert and Rebecca & Simona Zaretsky; sisters, Marcia Ostroff & Harriet (Robert) Siegel; many cherished nieces & nephews and dear friends. Ruth's numerous accomplishments included graduating with honors from the U of R, receiving her Master's from Geneseo, Librarian at East Rochester Public Schools and author of Fish, Faith & Family. She was also known as "Lady Rose" at the La-Tea-Da Tea Room. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 4 PM at Brighton Memorial Chapel, Inc. (3325 Winton Road S.).
