Obituary of Stanley A. Joffe

Stanley A. Joffe Passed away on January 9, 2012 at age 96. Predeceased by his wife Sylvia R. Joffe. Survived by his loving daughter, Linda Joffe (Lowell Lakritz) of Sarasota, FL; granddaughter, Robyn Cain of Rochester; brother, Edward Joffe of Plantation, FL; sister, Esther (Jerry) Kahn of Jacksonville, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Stan was a veteran of World War II and a member of Temple B'rith Kodesh for 66 years. A true gentleman with an uncomplaining nature, Stan was cherished by his family, respected by his friends and adored by the staff of the Jewish Home, whose compassionate care graced the last years of his life. Even at an advanced age, his kindness and enthusiasm for life (especially BINGO & ice cream) will be remembered by all who came in touch with his sweet, gentle soul. Stan the Man, you will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 2 PM in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B'rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Ave) with a reception to follow in the Adult Lounge until 5 PM.
