Obituary of Roberta Kaplan
Roberta Kaplan, of Fairport NY passed away unexpectedly early August 17th at the age of 78.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Beatrice Saul. She is survived by her husband Jerry Kaplan; daughter Julie (Keith) Nutt; son Matthew Kaplan; and grandson Hunter Kaplan; brother Stanley Saul; brother Leon (Eileen) Saul; sister Phyllis (Ken) Linne; sister-in-laws Sharon Dann & Darlene Yaravitz.
Roberta was born in Bronx NY on March 21st 1942 and later moved to Clifton NJ. While in NJ Roberta went to business school and later worked as a secretary for a judge. Roberta met her husband while on vacation in August of 1977 at Grossinger’s hotel in Liberty NY. Upon her marriage August 26th 1978 she moved to join her husband in Fairport NY.
Roberta was a devoted wife and loving mother to her two children. Roberta’s whole life was dedicated to the wellbeing of her family. Upon the birth of her two children her mother Beatrice Saul moved to Fairport NY to help with raising her children. Her mother spent many happy times with Roberta & the family. Roberta favorite activities were being together with her family whether being at a restaurant, on vacation, or just at home. Roberta was very friendly and well liked by everyone. She had an infectious smile and loved to laugh.
In early 2000’s Roberta came down with Parkinson’s disease. She bravely battled the disease for many years but still loved life, and never lost her ability to smile or commitment to her family.
Due to the covid virus a private service was held at 11am on Thursday August 20th.
