We are deeply saddened to hear of Ted's passing as he was a favorite of our family after our Mom, Evelyn, with whom he shared a cottage at Green. Teddy, as we affectionately called him, loved a good joke, especially the off-color ones, and would laugh and laugh having never missed a punchline. He had an eye for the women who visited the home and was not bashful about saying so. When the group would sing at mealtimes you could always hear Teddy above everyone else, especially when they broke into a rendition of "New York, New York". Despite his infirmities you never heard him complain and his bigger than life presence will be greatly missed at the cottage. Teddy, I hope where you're going they have coconut!

Handsome Ted will be a legend to all of us fortunate enough to meet him at Jewish Senior Life. Whether challenging you to an arm wrestle, sharing sweet stories of meeting Betty "wowee, she was a looker!" or just brightening our days with his smile, his song or his kind and generous laughter -- our days were brighter because of him. We will miss him and remember him, always. J. Caplan

I had the pleasure of meeting "Handsome Ted" at JSL where I work as a Jewish Life and Learning Coordinator.
I am so sadden by his loss. Ted had a great impact in my life in the last year and a half that we knew each other. He was so optimistic and happy and always greeted me with a smile. We shared our love for music and I will always remember him singing "Hava Nagillah" and other songs in Yiddish that melted my heart. Ted was part of our "Better Together" Inter-generational Program and had a beautiful relationship with his young partner, they brought each other - and all of us - so much joy!
Zichrono L'Beracha.

I have fond memories of Shirley’s Uncle Ted. He was a kind man who loved to kid Shirley’s friends, especially her “boyfriends “. The world is diminished by his passing.
