To all of Ruth's family- I am so saddened by Ruth's passing. We worked on quilting together at The Highlands and I grew very, very fond of her! She was so excited about the wedding she went to- at least I hope she went- and we had a wonderful time working on the two quilts for her grandsons. I hope she was able to finish the one she was making for the recent wedding (I don't remember which grandson it was) and was also working on a quilt for the next wedding. I will finish that one and send it off to you either through the Highlands or directly to you if you would like to send me your address.
I wish that I could have met you and paid my respects but I didn't know Ruth had passed away until a few more moments ago. The Highlands is not allowed to tell me because of the HIPA laws. Ruth loved all of you so much and I wish I could have given you all hugs. Please respond with your address if you would so I can send on the other quilt when it is finished.

Ruth was my "Big Sister" and I always knew she loved me dearly. We took many trips to Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony, with our mother, Ruth did all the driving and was always cheerful, so the rest of us were also cheerful It was easier to have fun in Ruth's company than with anyone else I have ever known. I will miss her, and I am happy that she lived long enough to "quvell" over
her grandson's marriage.
She was always ready to protect me. She made it possible for me to go to High School in Rochester, and then on to Radcliffe.

I had the honor and privilege of working with Ruth for many years. She was always upbeat, hard-working, inventive, and had a marvelous sense of humor. She was so proud of her family. She will be missed by many!
