How can I possibly write words that can console you? There are no words for such a loss. So, I have been searching for thoughts and wisdom far greater than anything I can compose. I particularly liked this quote from Nicholas Evans…"Breathe. Listen for my footfall in your heart. I am not gone but merely walk within you.". I sincerely believe that while the grief will never fully dissipate, there will be a time when the thoughts of Elena and your undying devotion to her will bring you joyous and peaceful memories and will overcome the sorrow. Your complete and unconditional love for Elena was always obvious to all of us who know you and I truly hope you find comfort in that as time passes. And finally, one other passage that I hope will give you strength and inspiration, this one, an Eskimo legend…."Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.".
