Obituary of Norman E. Lank

Norman Emmanuel Lank died Saturday morning July 9, 2011, at age 85. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edith Handleman Lank; sons Avrum (Dannette) of Milwaukee, and David (Constance Smith) of Vancouver, British Columbia; daughter Anna (Michael Mortenson) of New York , and grandchildren Abigail (David) Green-Lank, Simon Lank, Julia and Miriam Lank, and Aaron and Nathan Mortenson. He is also survived by his brother Gerald (Dorothy) Lank, Los Angeles; brother-in-law Rex Vail, Brighton, nieces and nephews. Norman was born July 25, 1925 in Montreal and came to Rochester as a young man. He was the owner of Lank Realtors for 45 years. His family and friends will miss a generous, devoted and compassionate man. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, 1399 S. Roxbury Dr., Los Angeles, CA. 90035, Attn: Tribute Department, or a charity of choice. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. SUNDAY (7/10/11) at Temple Beth El (139 Winton Road South) with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive at 240 Hemingway Dr., Brighton, Sunday (7/10/11) evening from 7 to 9, and Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Visitation

The family will receive at 240 Hemingway Dr., Brighton, Sunday (7/10/11) from 7:00 to 9:00, and Monday and Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. SUNDAY (7/10/11) at Temple Beth El (139 Winton Road South) with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
