Obituary of Honora G. Lang

Honora G. Lang (Gwirtzman) Passed away on March 19, 2012, on her 78th birthday. Predeceased by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Melvin. Survived by her children, Andrew & Dvora Lang, Tracy & Michael Podol, Kevin & Eileen Lang; grandchildren, Noam Lang & Hannah and Danica Podol; sister, Ann & Arthur Kolko; brother, Morley & Wendy Gwirtzman; sister-in-law, Ruth Suckle; nieces, nephews & many friends. After college, Honi worked for Haloid Corp., leaving to start a family. Active in the community, she was a long-time member of the Brighton P.T.A. and the Temple B'rith Kodesh Sisterhood, serving as President of both organizations. She joined the family business, Advance Optical, in the 1980's, working alongside her brothers & sister. Upon retiring, she and Melvin traveled the world and spent time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 2 PM in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Ave. Click here for directions to B'rith Kodesh.
