Dean was my closest friend at Brighton Middle School. Having few friends that meant a lot to me. We shared an interested in mathematics, in which he excelled. I admired (and was a bit jealous of) Dean's many talents -- tennis, piano, bowling, not to mention perfect pitch. Though we had not been in touch for many years, he was an important part of my life and I will never forget him.
