It is with mixed emotion that I read the news of Julia's passing. I met Julia at Temple Emanu-El some years back. We instantly struck up a conversation, and from that time on we had the most wonderful talks. I always looked forward to seeing Julia on Friday nights. But she came less and less and when she did come she had her oxigen with her. I saw how difficult her breathing had become. My mother had the same condition. When Julia no longer came to temple I continued to keep her in my prayers and thoughts. Her suffering is over. The world has lost a wondeful woman but heaven has gained a special Angel. I feel blessed to have known her. May the legacy of love and caring help her family and friends throught this difficult time.

Barbara and Steve, you and your family are in my prayers during this somber time. I never met Julia but know what a loving and powerful woman she was to you. As you will miss her so much, I know you are also comforted by the memories you share of her with you and your children. Love, Jeanne

Julie taught me so much during my 9 years in Guided Observation, as a Parent Group Leader!
She was a tireless leader, mentor and role model for understanding of the needs of the developing preschool child and the vital importance of parent involvement. Thank you, Julie.

Julia was an inspiration to all those who worked with her. She was a vital part of the team that initiated the Child Care Council in the 70's and continued to be a strong advocate for children in this community, not just as a part of her work but even in retirement because she cared about children and families.
