Dorica Leibovici Passed away peacefully after a long illness on September 20, 2012. Born 1927 in Racaciuni, Romania, she is predeceased by her parents, Rachel and Isaac Braier & older brother, Carol Braier. Survived by her beloved husband of 62 years Maer; daughter Liliana (Ervin) Goldfain of Syracuse NY; son, Dr. Adrian (Anca) Leibovici of Rochester NY; grandchildren Albert (Kirsta, PhD) Goldfain, PhD of Syracuse, Dr. Monica (fiance Dan Ranaletta) Leibovici of Rochester & Andrei Goldfain of San Diego, CA; brother Freddy (Manuela) Braier of Holon, Israel & sister-in-law, Lutza Tipkis of Tel Aviv, Israel, nephews & nieces. We will miss her kindness, lust for life, love of people & not the least her legendary cooking and baking. She was a great wife, mother & grandmother and her passing leaves a sad void in the lives of those around her. Her family wants to extend their gratitude to the wonderful group of nursing assistants, nurses, social workers, support staff and doctors who took care of her at the Jewish Home for the last 12 months. We feel equally indebted towards Highland Hospital’s ICU medical staff for their competent and compassionate care in the last days of her life. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 1 PM in the Rabbi Abraham Solomon Chapel of Temple Beth El (139 S. Winton Rd.). Interment, Mt. Hope cemetery.
