Bob: We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Shar is someone we always had fond feelings for, ever since she offered to let our puppy Bosco out on the lunch hour until she could last the full work day.... You both were wonderful neighbors and great people. I know she will be missed and our sincerest condolences to you and your family. The heavens will now be full of her gardens. May the power of her loving memory get you through this difficult time. Our love, The Krieger Family
This is a sad event. Sher was a pleasant person who was kind-hearted and open-minded. Her contributions to the cmmunity and generosity to friends will be remmbered in our hearts. May her lovely memories and prayers from friends and colleagues find solce to you in this moment of grief.
Shar has always impressed us with her gentle good nature. She was always so kind to everyone. It was always fun to hear about her and Bob's experiences as they developed their gardens. Our thoughts are with you and your family Bob.
Bestowing of gifts is the characteristics I remember most of our dear Shar.
She instilled in us the love of gardening and the joy and serenity that nature provides.
So in remembering her illustrious being the following excerpt comes to mind. May her soul be immersed in light and glory.
The passing of our dear neighbor is likened unto a rebirth of a flower:
“ It is as if a kind gardener transfer[ed] a fresh and tender shrub from a narrow place to a vast region. This transference is not the cause of the withering, [no] rather it makes [the plant] grow, thrive, [and] acquire freshness.”

As a RIT colleague and friend of Bob, I had the pleasure of knowing Shar for many years. I remember her as a wonderful person. I had, in many occasions, met and spoke with her which I will miss it in the future. My condolences to my dear friend Bob and to each of their children and their families.
Dear Bob, Richard, Steven, and Janet-
With Shar's passing, this world just became a darker place. Never will I forget her warmth, wit, and kindness. As a friend and as a second mom, she touched my life as few have….and I am profoundly saddened by this unhappy news of her untimely passing. She will be sorely missed.
