Obituary of Ruby M. Baker

Ruby M Baker Passed away on June 19, 2012 at age 85. Predeceased by his brothers, Jack, Larry, Matt & Ike Baker; sisters, Esther Mutnick & Sara Brodsky. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years Sandra; children, Leslie (Joseph) Diamond, Rochelle Black, Michael & Scott (Velvet) Baker; grandchildren, Shira (Joshua) Tannenbaum, Yosef Black, Leah (Elishah) Herman, Daniel Black, Brendon (Ellena) & Justin Baker; sister, Beckie Valinsky; brother, Joseph (Dona) Baker; sister-in-laws, Barbara Baker, Estelle Baker & Regina Eskin; brother-in-law, Haskell Albahari; many nieces & nephews; including eight great grandsons. Ruby was born, raised, and married in Rochester; he attended East high school; served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, returned and graduated from Thomas Jefferson high school; attended Sampson College; was the owner/originator in 1962 of Baker Rigging Corporation; was a lifetime member of the Knights of Pythias, Rochester Jay Lodge #639, and a member of the Fairport Flower City Masons, Lodge #476. He retired in 2000 to Sunrise, Florida, where he loved to play golf. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11 AM at Brighton Memorial Chapel, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S.).
