Obituary of Raymond L. Hurwitz

Raymond L. Hurwitz Pittsford: May 23, 2010. Predeceased by his parents Abraham and Rachel. Raymond will be remembered by his loving wife of 59 years, Jeanne; daughter Cindy; sons Scott (Caryn) and Greg (Kim); grandchildren, Nicole, Margaux, Chase, Reese and Cameron; brother Norman (Annice); several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Raymond was a graduate of Ben Franklin High School and served in the United States Navy as Quarter Master. He was a member of the Masons, Knights of Pythias, Irondequoit Country Club and Temple B'rith Kodesh. He was a successful local business owner and an avid sportsman who enjoyed golf, tennis and other activities. He was also an accomplished saxophonist. His greatest joy was watching over and caring for his beloved family, followed by his love of the water, boating and especially fishing. He was an enthusiast of cars, boats and travel. He was an animal lover and had numerous dogs throughout his life. Raymond was an endearing and compassionate man who had a true lust for life and was loved by all. Raymond's Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in the Sanctuary at Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Ave. Click here for directions to the temple. Internment, Mt.
