I had no idea Ted died, I found out today 6/2. Ted was an amazing and compassionate person. He was assisting me with a child support issue and knew I was in a financial bind. He never even charged me for his services. Not many lawyers would do that for their client. He will be missed. He would call to say hello every so often ,but, I hadn't heard from him in some time, nw I know why. RIP Ted!

With great sadness, we learned of Ted's passing! First, may we extend to all of Ted's family, our deepest Sympathy and Prayers! May God's peace and strength be with each of you. Ted was our lawyer since the 1980's serving many family members and matters for us. We considered him a dear and personal friend as well. We will miss not only his deep professional commitment, but his friendly advice and geniune concern and caring way that he showed to us over these many years. We will find another lawyer by need, but never another Ted Missal! His work on this earth being done, may he rest in peace! With deepest sympathy, Harold, Thelma and Debra Chapin

Wonderful man, he was my friend. He would always ask about my family and tell me about his. He gave me professional advise that help me avoid some legal problems of running my own business. The last time we spoke on the phone, he mention having lunch together. It didn't happen. I regret I missed that opportunity. I will be making a contribution in his name to one of the charities listed. God bless all of you.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ted's passing. We often bumped into each other on Saturday mornings at Wegman's. He counseled and mentored me as I returned to the practice of family law after nor having practiced in that area for several years.
He was a true gentleman in the tradition of legal practice as it used to be. He never resorted to the unprofessional behavior exhibited by many family law attorneys, who allow themselves to get caught up in their client's emotions. He always comported himself with professional demeanor.
He will be greatly missed.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Extending my condolences to Ted's family. When I was starting out as a new attorney in Rochester, Ted regularly checked in with me to see how I was doing, and provided counsel and encouragement. Ted was a true "Mench" and I am thankful to have known him.

I have worked with Ted for many years in the Monroe County Family Court system. He was always such a joy! Often we were on opposing sides in litigation--but, no matter: Ted was a fierce litigator who was as well unfailingly kind and calm and a gentleman to all involved--opposing parties and opposing attorneys. His ability and his demeanor and his professionalism set the bar very high for the rest of us. He will be sorely missed by me, and I daresay, by all of us in the Monroe County Bar who had the pleasure to match wits with him and know him as a friend and a mentor and a colleague.

What a shock to lose such a fine man as Ted. Ted had a big heart and cared for people. I knew him both on a professional level who did work for me as well as on a personal level as a true friend. He was always out to please and was sincere in his caring. He was truly a nice guy and I am certain that it was fate that brought he and Jill together since I am sure he saw the same kind caring qualities in Jill that he possessed. Ted was one of a kind.
