Obituary of Evelyn J. Gray

On January 15, 2011 at age 91. Born May 22, 1919 Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Rochester. Predeceased by her parents Lena and Isaac Gray; sister, Sylvia Gray Bloom. Survived by her brothers and sister, Seymour (Beverly) Gray, David (Miriam) Gray, Marvin (Barbara) Gray, Louis (Mary Ann) Gray and Dolores Gray Schwartz; many nieces and nephews. Evelyn graduated (Phi Beta Kappa) from Cornell University in 1940; she earned her Masters Degree from the National University of Mexico in 1957. She worked as an interpreter at the Nuremberg Trials following WWII. She was fluent in five languages. Evelyn later worked as a language teacher in Florida and Rochester and a real estate owner in the Culver Road area for many years.
