Obituary of Samuel Levitas

Samuel Levitas Entered into rest on February 24, 2007, from a hospice house setting at age 88 following chronic kidney disease. He is predeceased by his Parents, Abraham and Bessie Wives, Barbara (Elliott) and Beulah Levitas Grandson, Joseph Anderson Sisters, Rose Lench, Sylvia Haggerty, Jeanette Levitas & Dorothy Kramer. He is survived by his Daughters, Linda (Gary) Vogt, Carol Schleigh & Nancy Anderson 6 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Monroe and Erie counties. Sam was born in Rochester and attended Monroe High. He served during World War II in the Army Medical Corps in Australia & New Guinea. He was a Real Estate Broker for decades and became the Democrat Candidate for Monroe County Clerk in 1972, losing to the incumbent. Later, he worked out of Buffalo for HUD as Appraisal Reviewer/Acquisition Specialist. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 12:30 PM at Brighton Memorial Chapel (3325 Winton Rd. S.). The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
