Obituary of Benjamin Hobel

Hobel, Benjamin Rochester: Formerly of Albany, passed away October 16, 2011 at age 87, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Muriel Hobel. Ben was born on June 18, 1924 in Albany, N.Y. to Eli & Pauline Hobel. He was the brother of the late Anna Hobel Ainspan. He is survived by several nephews and a niece, Paula Ainspan, of Delmar, N.Y. He was employed by the New York Central Railroad (Amtrak) and later for an office supply company in Rochester. He was a member of Temple Beth Hamedresh-Beth Israel of Rochester. He was a life member of the Rochester Jay Lodge #639, Knights of Pythias. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the Cedar Park/Beth El cemeteries in Paramus, NJ.
