Dear Hilda,
Thinking of you and family following a lovely family vacation. And the family stories Mal told us of Deena and Mal's childhood. We are better parents because of his lessons and we think of you often. Delight, Luis (and James)

Dear Hilda,
I am in Israel, and I can't believe that Mal has passed away. I talked to him a few days before I left. Who will make us laugh at our high school lunches. I am so sad, Hilda, as is Debbie. She always looked forward to seeing him in Rochester, and having a good talk with him. We will miss him so very much. I will see you when I come home. Rosie

Dr. and Mrs. Ring were two of the first people I met when I joined the AAHD. I considered them both good friends and helpful in many respects. The highest praise for Dr. Ring falls short of how great he really was.

I am saddened by the news. Dr. Ring gave one of my favorite courses during dental school at Buffalo, during the '70s. i was fortunate to have seen anrecently published article of his and sent him a note. We began to be 'pen pals' and exchanged several letters and articles over the last year.. I have kepy every one and was proud to have 'Mal' consider me a 'friend'.. I recently sent a couple of letters and cards and received no reply. Remembering that he had told me about recent health issues, I feard the worst. I deeply sympathize with the family's loss. I will keep and cherish his letters.
Be Well, Robert F. Majewski, DDS (UB, '76)

To the Ring Family, we extend our condolences for your loss. I started going to Dr. Ring in the early 50's in Batavia and continued seeing him until he retired in 1985. He was a great dentist and I still have a dental bridge that he crafted for me and it still works great after more than 25 years. After he retired I would see him at the YMCA on occasion and he was always very glad to see me. He was more than just my old dentist and became a friend as I became an adult. I'm sure you will miss him greatly.

I am, the nephew of Hilda Ring,Mrs. malvin Ring- no "blood relation" to Mal- but since marrying my aunt- he had become part of the Stiller family and someone I enjoyed visting with and respected. Mal was very family oriented, gregarious and full of life experiences. I looked forward to every Thanksgiving- not for the fact my Aunt was an excellent cook, but that Mal would regale us with stories of his youth, his life experiences & travel. He had a lot to offere and always asked what was going on with me and showed an interest and affection for all around him. To say he will be missed -just doesnt seem to do him justice...Neil Stiller

Dear Hilda, Hilary, Susan, and Family:
You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Our deepest sympathies to you on the passing of your beloved husband and dad. Our hearts ache on the loss of such a wonderful and caring person. The world was a better place because of his presence.
It was an honor for me to have started out my dental career with Dr. Ring. He was a wonderful teacher and mentor. He treated each patient with such dignity and care. I have many fond memories. I'm a better dental hygienist because of him.
After his retirement he continued to be a very dear friend for over 25 years.
We will never forget him.
Love and God bless, Chris and Dave
