I think of Bob Ader as my professional father. When I became editor of a journal in 1996, he was sent my first issue. Many of the things he taught me back on the '60's are still forefront in my mind when I think, plan research, write, or prepare a presentation and I have tried to pass these lessons on to my own students. He has left a wonderful legacy. Judy was fortunate in being a technician in Bob's lab, having come from the University of Florida, so Bob was also indirectly responsible for us having met 44 years ago. Judy had never seen snow and we still remember fondly tobogganing with Bob, Gayle, and the girls.
