Obituary of Millicent K. Tanenbaum

July 30, 2011 at age 82. Predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Burton D. Tanenbaum; parents, Molly & Sam Kroll and sister, Helen K. Silver. She is survived by her sons, William A. (Dr. Judith) Tanenbaum of NY, NY & Robert K. (Marla) Tanenbaum of Bethesda, MD; grandchildren, Eden, Haley, Grant, & Kayla Tanenbaum; devoted brother-in-law, Myron S. Silver (Rivka Chapman); nieces & nephews, Jeff (Anne), Mitchell, Rafi Silver, Barbara (Charles) Shumway & Barbara Silver; and her grand nieces & nephews. With special thanks and gratitude to her dedicated physicians, Dr. Timothy Quill, Dr. Carolyn Jones & Dr. Supriya Mohile and to caring friends Dr. Carl Oshrain & Dr. Eric Dreyfuss as well as caregivers, Mickie Meagher Smith, Mary Humphrey, Rosemary Casalborn & Helen Rigby. Millie was a 1949 graduate of Syracuse University (Phi Beta Kappa) and she cherished her long time association with Planned Parenthood & the National Council of Jewish Women. Funeral services were held privately at Temple Beth El. A period of mourning will be observed at the family home in Pittsford, Monday & Tuesday 6-9 PM.
