Dear Kathy, I'm sorry for your loss and was saddened when I heard Milt had passed. The world is truly just a bit colder without him. He was one of my favorite patients and that says something because I've worked in PT for 18 years and have met countless people from many walks of life. He told me many stories about his life, business, travels, and about your Mom and how much he missed her. He also never went a session without mentioning you and how proud he was of your success and hard work. You were his everything. He also used to tell me I deserved more money... lol. Even mentioned it to my supervisor a number of times (to no avail). Not sure why. Just doing my job. I think he kinda cared about me and wanted to see me succeed in a way. We also had many inside jokes between us. I liked the off-color ones the best but I could never admit it to him. He would ask me serious questions pertaining to treatment, anatomy, or the healing process and in the next breath say something so funny i wanted to go in the backroom and cry with laughter. He'd have that funny little smirk of satisfaction on his face when he knew he cracked me up. He liked to stir-the-pot which made us such a good match for him during his recovery. We like people who stir-the-pot. It was an honor working with Milt and I always tried to live-up to the trust he placed in me. I am a better man and clinician for knowing your father and I appreciate the thumbprint he has left on my life. I hope I can consider myself a family friend. Thanks for sharing your Dad with me. Love, Jim Briggs, PT
