Obituary of Milton Ergas

Milton Ergas Passed away on April 24, 2011 at age 90, following a valiant battle with cancer. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Thelma; greatly missed parents, Victor & Fanny Ergas; dear brother, Norman and cherished sister & brother-in-law, Freida & Irv Meislin. He is survived by his devoted children, Barbara Ergas Petranek, Suzanne (Michael) Geary, Robert Ergas; adored grandchildren, Lisa (Everett) Krohnke, Erin (Mark) Sullivan, Jennifer (Chris) Shanley, Christopher (fiancee, Jami) Cromwell, Timothy (Stacy) Cromwell and Stefan (Christina) Petranek; greatly loved great grandchildren, Kaylee, Patrick, Dylan, Madeline, Treyton, Michael, Kimberly, Hayden and Emmet; adored sister, Lillian (Don) Levine; many nephews; and dear friend, Geraline Morris. Milt was an accomplished musician, who played in many local bands and venues both here in Rochester and in Washington DC during WWII. He was also a talented artist, who had exhibits at the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery. With his great wit, Milt was extremely active until the very end. He leaves behind many family and friends who will miss him dearly. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2 PM in White Haven Memorial Park.
