Obituary of Joseph Y. Goldstien

Joseph Y. Goldstien Brighton: November 3, 2009 at age 96. Predeceased by his brother, Saul. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Katie; devoted children, Sheila (Ira) Epstein, David (Linda) Goldstien, Sidney (Karen) Goldstien & Abram (Jackie) Goldstien; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; loving nieces & nephews. Joe was extremely active in the Jewish Community. After his retirement from Star Market he began volunteering in many community activities, including 25 years as a driver for the Red Cross and President of the JCC Senior Group. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11 AM at Brighton Memorial Chapel, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S.). Click here for directions to the funeral home. Interment, Britton Road Cemetery. Following the funeral, a period of mourning will be observed at The Summit at Brighton, Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM, Friday 2-4 PM, Saturday 7-9 PM. Sunday, Shiva will be at the Jewish Home from 2-4 PM and will continue back at the Summit, Sunday 7-9 & Monday & Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Click here for directions to the house of mourning.
