Alice gave of herself to others for many years -- always an encouragement to participants in classes she taught. We remember many "stories" connected with planning for ladies' activities for the annual Potable Water Supply Operators' Conference in Illinois. We appreciated Alice's spark and enthusiasm.
Dear Alan,
I was so sorry to see the announcement about your mom. I wasn't able to get to the visitation, but wanted to let you know that we're thinking of you. I'm now in Rochester if you'd like to call (248-8464).
All the best,
Ruth
We were so sorry to read about Alice's death. We will always remember her and Ira with great fondness. Our children, Brian and Kari and their families also send their condolences.
Upon reading of Alice's death I immediately sought to visualize her presence and in the process two words came to mind ....warmth and twinkle. Each chance meeting elicited the warm embrace of her smile and bright twinkle in her eyes( a special gift that she and Ira were both blessed to have). We were all fortunate to know her and blessed to have warm memories of her life.
Alice's positive and "can-do" attitude about working to improve the quality of one's life made a beautiful and inspiring contribution to many individuals in Springfield. Her life was a life "well-lived." Brava Alice!
