Obituary of Florence L. Gordon

Florence L.Gordon Rochester: On March 24, 2010. Florence Gordon died gracefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jerome B. Gordon. She is survived by her daughter Elyse (Walter) Capell of Rochester; sons Dr. Marc (Suzanne) Gordon of Great Neck, NY, Robert (Leslie) Gordon of Scarsdale, NY; grandchildren Jesse (Heela) Capell, Adam (Kristine) Capell, Marisa Capell, Rebecca, Nola, Julia, Miles and Natalie Gordon; brother Rabbi Max (Rhoda) Lipschitz; many nieces, nephews and devoted friends. Florence grew up in Tel Aviv and Detroit. She was a fashion illustrator, display artist, and then a beloved teacher of Hebrew and Music at Temple B'rith Kodesh and the JCC. She delighted in teaching generations of students throughout her life. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 26th at 12:30PM in the main sanctuary of Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Ave. (Click here for a map to Temple) Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
