Leanora was a member of the Memoir Class I lead at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, formerly Athenaeum. Her writing developed over the years, and was always simple, yet direct as she recorded memories significant to her. Twice Leanora was chosen to participate in the annual Memoir Class presentation of the Pfaudler Thursday lunch time series. I admired her persistence in coming to class when her health was so challenged. Also when my husband was quite ill in 2009, Leanora sent him get well cards, and frequently inquired of his well-being. A unique woman, Leanora will be missed.
I could not attend her graveside service due to a previously scheduled appointment at precisely the same hour. I would surely liked to meet her family and share my thoughts with you personally.
I hope you will find and treasure the memoirs Leanora wrote.
