Herb and I were Irondequoit High School mates. I remember him especially well in our business law class with Mr. Reeder, very good times. Herb was my lawyer for a few of my real estate closings. He would come to my food truck on Alexander St. called "Street Meat" almost every Saturday, he would help me nearly every time I needed someone to help me at the serving window, Herb worked for food, he was a cheap helper. I will miss him deeply, he was a good friend. Herb, you will always be remembered. Too many of the best people are taken away to early in their life... Joe

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Herb's family, friends, and associates. I had the pleasure of having wonderful conversations with Herb at get togethers at my sisters home. Herb enjoyed a good joke and could deliver one as well. One thing that was clearly evident was the love and pride that he had for his nieces.
As I write this I am stricken by the scope of the subjects of our conversations; everything from the holocaust, his love of participation in community theater, the acomplishments of his nieces , and of course any new joke that would be appropriate.
I can only imagine the void that will be felt by those who had the honor of calling Herb, brother, friend, uncle, and associate. I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn the passing of this talented and wonderful man.
Sincerely,
Debra Dwaileebe (S.I.L. of Dave Stasaitis)

I'll always remember how old I was when I first met Herb. He was filming a famous H&H production when he asked me how old I would be in ten years (I was 8yrs old at the time). After a few moments of silence, he said, "put a 1 in front of the 8". So I said, "81?".
I have many fond memories of Herb. Childhood bike rides, to fake dog poop on the carpet. Never a dull moment.
Does anyone remember the "Where's Herb" comercials from Burgerking? He worked out a dialogue with in the car with me so that when we walked in and went up to the counter to order, I would say, "Look! I found Herb!".
Finally, I will never forget the trip to Toronto. Herb, my mother Cindy, and I took a trip to Toronto in Herb's Mazda RX-7. I sat on a pillow in the back seat because the bucket seats were too deep. The destination was kept as a surprise from me so when we arrived in Canada's Wonderland, I was beyond words. The following day we went to the Toronto zoo where I was spit on by a Lama.
Herb, you will be missed by many.
Thanks for the great times!
Love,
