Obituary of Burton D. Tanenbaum

Tanenbaum, Burton D. Pittsford: December 29, 2007 at age 79. Predeceased by parents, Eli & Rose Tanenbaum; and Brother, Sgt. Wilfred N. Tanenbaum. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Millicent; sons, William A. (Dr. Judith) Tanenbaum of New York, NY, Robert K. (Marla) Tanenbaum of Bethesda, MD; grandchildren, Eden, Haley, Grant & Kayla Tanenbaum; devoted brother-in-law, Myron S. Silver; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Anne), Mitchell, Rafi Silver, Barbara (Charles) Shumway & Barbara Silver; and many dear friends. With special thanks and gratitude to his dedicated physicians, Dr. Bernard Shore and Dr. Supriya Mohile, and to the caring nurses of the Jewish Home, 2nd Floor Unit 3/4, especially Shelley, Julie, Ann, Maya, Niki, Yvonne & Karen. Burt was a 1952 graduate of Syracuse University Law School. He belonged to the New York State and Monroe County Bar Associations. He served as president of Temple Beth El, of The Jewish Home of Rochester and of the Brighton School Board. He was a member of the Estate Planning Council of Rochester and the board of Hillside Family of Agencies. Funeral Services were held privately at Temple Beth El.
