Obituary of Edith D. Parker

Edith (Dankoff) Parker

Passed away on March 2, 2019 at the age of 94. Survived by her children, Debra (James) Cantin and Kenneth Parker. Grandchildren, Alyson (Ryan) Clair, Rachel (James) Wiesner, and Sky (Monet) Pierce. Great-grandchildren, Carter & Tyler Clair and Aidan & Jacob Wiesner, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Over the years, Edith enjoyed doing charitable work for Hadassah where she also served as President. She was a member of the Sisterhood at Temple Beth El where she was head of fundraising and later served as Vice President. Edith owned her own women’s clothing store, Claire’s on Monroe Avenue in Brighton, for many years. One of her greatest thrills was living to see her “putchkalis” - her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held private. Donations may be made to the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum or to a charity of your choice in Edith’s memory.
