Obituary of Edward Holtzman

Dr. Edward Holtzman “Eddie” Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Anna & Nathan; sisters, Perle & Adele. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ellie; three devoted, wonderful children, Joy (Shaul) Antar, David (Lisa), Neal (Kimi); nine beloved, adored & amazing grandchildren, Joshua, Ari (Li-or), Daniel, Benjamin, Talia, Simcha, Zachary, Ariel & Olivia; a niece and nephews. Ed enjoyed sailing, tennis, biking, skiing, travel, summers at Canadaigua Lake and was a life member of the Tennis Club of Rochester, however, his greatest love was being with his family. He practiced optometry for 35 years in East Rochester. After his retirement, he volunteered as a Medicare counselor at Rochester General Hospital. Ed was a Korean War Veteran. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on WEDNESDAY, March 6th at 1PM in the Benjamin Goldstein Chapel of Temple B’rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue (Click for a Map to Temple). Interment Pittsford Cemetery. A period of mourning will be observed at 55 Belltower Lane, Pittsford (Click for a Map to the House), Wednesday 7-9 PM, Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM, Friday 1-3 PM, and will continue at 154 Barclay Square, Brighton (Click for a Map to the House), Saturday following Shabbat through Tuesday Morning.
