The Parsky Memorial Chapel was founded in 1927 by Alexander Parsky to meet the needs of the expanding Jewish population in the Rochester area. Always an independently-owned funeral home, Parsky's continues its tradition of serving only those with the common bond of Judaism, whether Orthodox, Conservative or Reform.

Up until August, 2005 the Parsky Funeral Home was owned and operated by Philip Kaplan, a Rochester native, who began his funeral service career with Alexander and Jacob Parsky in 1962. In September 2006, David Levy purchased the funeral home and will continue the Parsky tradition of caring in a time of emotional stress, honoring the requests of the surviving family and carrying out their wishes in a dignified manner with utmost respect.

Parsky's also offers counseling for pre-arranging and pre-funding funerals, irrevocable medicaid trusts, and handles arrangements for transporting a deceased loved one between cities, states and countries. Requests by families for cremation are honored. We are extremely proud to part of the Rochester community, and to be a family owned and operated business.
